Seattle Sports ATC Cart Review
Features:
Specifications:
The ATC is our heavy–duty steel all–purpose cart built for users who want to haul almost any boat, any place. With large 16-Inch bike tire wheels, this all–terrain cart is great for rutted paths that cause difficulty for smaller wheeled carts, and it's faster over paved, fl at surfaces. For many users, the large wheels offer a more natural height for pulling or pushing. The ATC is great for heavy–loaded canoe portages, john boats, and other larger craft, including dinghies and Lasers. It easily transports all kayaks. The heavy-duty powder–coated steel frame breaks down nicely for low– profile storage. A spring–loaded, extra stable kickstand, adjustable top pad bars, and included cinch straps complete this super heavy–duty cart. The ATC has a 300 lb capacity.

Paddleboy Heavy Lifter Canoe & Kayak Cart Review
The Heavy Lifter cart pulls canoes or kayaks as heavy as 400 pounds. |
The Heavy Lifter--which does not come with straps--offers an 11-inch clearance, weighs 9 pounds, and carries a one-year warranty. Paddleboy also sells a line of end carts, which manage less weight but are easier and quicker to load.
About Paddleboy
The very first Paddleboy cart was born out of pure selfish concern. In 1995, dedicated paddler Brian Witt struggled to transport his canoes and kayaks across the park and down to the water. As any paddler without a cart knows, this kind of lugging uses energy that should be reserved for paddling. Witt knew there had to be a better way, so he designed a prototype cart that became the essence of every canoe and kayak enthusiast's dream: less lugging and more paddling. Today, Paddleboy Designs--located in Seattle, Washington--is the only watercraft cart manufacturer to offer both end and center carts, as well as one of the most supportive, competent dealer networks in the country.
Canoe & Kayak Magazine called our Heavy Lifter "the 4 x 4 pickup truck of boat carts." Made from burly stainless steel, it hauls up to 400 pounds on its 10" x 4" pneumatic tires. Rugged terrain is no problem for the 11" clearance and no-axle design. With 20" crossbars, the super-strong Heavy Lifter is great for adventure racers that need a cart that can take a super-pounding, or heavyweight ro boats and expedition craft.
